Dr. Robert Ng (MHSc (Hons) (Optom), BOptom (Hons), TPA, NZAO) is a qualified Auckland optometrist who specialises in sports vision.

He has a Master of Health Science in Sports Vision and has worked with elite New Zealand athletes, professional sporting franchises (including the Blues Super Rugby franchise) and officials (Netball NZ). He has also given presentations for national sporting bodies on sports vision. Robert is also High Performance Sports NZ (HPSNZ) approved for reactive services.

Robert shares his time in private practice at Frith and Laird Optometrists in Manurewa and at the University of Auckland where he is a Teaching Fellow supervising optometry students in the clinic and their Honours research projects.

In addition to general eye examinations and sports vision, Robert is therapeutically qualified allowing him to prescribe a medications to treat a range of eye conditions. He also works at Middlemore Hospital in the Ophthalmology Department and also specialises in advanced contact lenses where he is active in clinical studies in this area and supervises the contact lens clinic at the university.
